US Senator Tammy Baldwin says AM radios need to stay in vehicles sold in the US.
The Wisconsin Democrat says it’s a lifeline for Wisconsin farmers.
“That’s what’s on, is the am radio during milking time and other times and and so I understand what a lifeline it is for community information, for safety alerts and for just getting farm news,” Baldwin said.
Baldwin says she’s been getting pushback on the issue from car manufacturers, but thinks anyone who can make and design an electric car can figure out how to get an AM signal to play on the radio.
