SARONA, Wis. (WJMC) — The outdoors will be merry and *bright* this Saturday in Sarona.
This Saturday evening, Hunt Hill Nature Center in Sarona will be hosting a Winter Solstice Luminary Hike. From 5:30 to 8 pm, guests can walk along the illuminated Hunt Hill trail as many times as they would like.
Hunt Hill Program Coordinator Marissa Ginger describes the hiking experience guests will have, plus the treats offered while they’re there.
“It will be about a half-mile loop through the beautiful prairie. The hike will be self-guided, so you and your family, or you and your friends can walk the prairie at your leisure,” Ginger said. “There’s no rush, and you can walk to the prairie platform, warm up by the fire, have s’mores over there. And then hot cocoa is actually by the registration table.”
Registration for the hike isn’t required, but it is encouraged. The program fee is eight dollars per person or twenty dollars per family. Hunt Hill members are five dollars per person, and fifteen dollars per family.
