MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The Department of Natural Resources is looking for help finding invasive aquatic species this weekend.
Saturday, Aug. 10, is Snapshot Day across Wisconsin, a statewide effort to protect the state’s streams, lakes, and wetlands by monitoring designated sites for invasive plants and animals that may threaten wildlife and water ecosystems. The DNR says volunteer efforts are crucial to the success of monitoring invasive species, and info gathered during the event will provide data to help inform and guide management.
Visit the DNR website to register for Snapshot Day and find a site near you.
