WASHINGTON, D.C. (WRN) — Amidst her reelection campaign, US Senator Tammy Baldwin is touting lower prescription drug prices under the Inflation Reduction Act.
Baldwin says people have had to make sacrifices in order to pay for medication.
“I remember meeting somebody who was turning down her heat in the winter to cut energy costs so she could afford her prescription medication. I talk to people regularly who ration their dose to make their prescriptions last longer,” Baldwin said.
The Democrat is seeking third term and faces Republican businessman Eric Hovde in the November general election.
