MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WRN) – There’s some changes on your 2023 taxes that weren’t there last year. I R S spokesman Christopher Miller says the standard deduction is higher this year.
“The standard deduction for tax year 2023 increased $900 for single people,” Miller said. “It increased $1,400 For people filing as head of household and it increased $1,800 for married people filing jointly.”
